THNX guys
please fix this problem soon
this app is so cool
thanks
I will be very pleased with the application when this problem is fixed.
The desktop software has apparently been up-to-date for a while now, it was the iPhone/iPod application software that needed to be updated. Update your iPhone/iPod application to version 1.1 to take full advantage of this great software!!
Simply enter a password and you will be able to access your computer anytime you wish.
Thanks for the fix, Egor!! :) Great free software!! :)
Great Application!!!
I need some information I couldn't find on the website. I have a home WIFI network and my IP (from router is 192.168....), it works great from my house but I wonder, how can I connect via 3G. should I enter my ISP IP from iPhone when I try to connect?
I'm sure that if I'm away from my WIFI network the 192.168 ... IP won't work.
Thanks,
Eugen
the mouse doesn't appear when i connected to host
pleas fix this problem soon
Only 3 things missing, as already mentioned:
1. Allow and remember
2. Panning like in Safari
3. Zoom in/out
thanks
Hello Drake,
I had the same issue and managed to solve it nicely.
When you're away from you wireless network, the first thing you need to do is change the IP address to your ISP IP address (not 192.0. ... , that's your local IP given by your router).
1. To find out your IP address just go to "http://www.ip-adress.com/"
2. Now, you need to PORT forward the port used by Egor's APP on your router. (8444)
To do this, you need to access your router settings and find where you can add this port "8444" (used by iRemote).
I have a Linksys Router, and found this option under "Application/Gaming" port forwarding somewhere in there.
I'm sure your wireless modem router documentation will help you figure out where you can make this. (or Google, faster, hehe)
Basically, I completed 3 fields (Name of Application "iRemote" or whatever, select TCP, and port number "8444").
This makes your router allow the connection through your PC using the port "8444".
3. After you've done all of the above, go to your iRemote Desktop (installed on your Windows XP) and make the following change:
Go to "Known Devices" -> Your iPhone name should be in the list (if you choose "remember me" -> double click on it -> UNCHECK "Associate with IP address" -> APPLY.
*this basically allows you to connect to you PC from a different IP address than the local one used so far (given by your wireless router), for example, the IP address when using 3G. (which is different than the one from your local wireless network).
You're DONE! Have fun!
Egor, you're the best! I just love this application!
The one this I would ask is the ability to create custom buttons that do custom keyclicks that can be made from the PC. Other than that awesome product keep up the great work.
but for some reason it cant connect to my pc ?
any ideas?
I am connected with the PC, but display on iphone is corrupted (just color bars all over the screen.)
The mouse and all commands are responding on the desktop, just can't see anything on the phone... Any suggestions for me?
Thanks for the app, I cant wait till it works on my iphone screen!
iRemote suite software on your device (iPhone) is too old. proceed to Appstore to check for the latest version of the software.) i've only downloaded it today (11-9-09) and found one version on the Appstore and it says its too old?
Error opening file for writing:
C:\ Program files\ Remote PC suite\ QtGui4.dll
What you need to do is to:
1) right click on ur Remote PC suite icon then click open file location.
2) Double click uninstall.
3) Get back to the parent folder (Go back to C:\ Program files)
4) Click Remote PC suite and DELETE the whole folder
5) Now you can install the latest version easily.
6) Enjoy!
Oh, and adding a wide screen would be nice, Just an idea. keep up the good work!
I found the solution for the Mac version, at least for now.
Apparently the application is installed with an unknown owner in its permissions.
I changed that and now it works fine.
how were you able to make that change to the owner . . . I can't seem to find it
Select RemotePC in BatChMod and set owner to your user name and select R and W.
Set Group to admin and select R.
Select R for Everyone.
That's it.
Now open the information window for RemotePC in the Finder and check the settings at the end of the window (owner:read&write, admin:read, everyone:read)
This looks like a great App. I run snow leopard V10.6.1. When I come to open the .dmg file I get a message saying, the disk image could not be recognised because it is "not recognised"
Does anyone know how to get around this??
If anyone has trouble with this, please feel free to reply and tell me.
I just installed this app on my pc and mac and on my new iPhone 3Gs.
I only can connect to my pc but it doesn't work on my macbook.
Can you help?
1. Switched off firewall (I know it's not the best idea, but...).
2. Started Desktop application.
3. Started iPhone app.
4. Entered desktop IP-number into iPhone app.
5. Verified Port numbers.
6. Pressed button on iPhone to establish connection.
--> nothing happens. Only the "being-busy" circle circles.
Both software parts were downloaded yesterday.
My system: PowerBook G4 Titanium, 400MHz, Mac OSX 10.4.11.
